For decades, IRnova has delivered thousands of QWIP detectors for long-range sights, surveillance, termography and search & rescue. The inherent advantages of the QWIP technology has made it the LWIR technology of choice for armies, navies and coast guards that operate in cold climates.
Now we take the next step. Tyr is a brand new QWIP detector in full SXGA resolution, 1280x1024 pixels. This unique combination of a battle-field proven technology and a modern, high-resolution ROIC presents a compelling option to upgrade existing LWIR systems or compete in new markets. And best of all: since we made it out of existing building blocks that we have years or even decades of experience manufacturing, we can deliver the Tyr in volumes right from the start.
